Children Obesity
In this modern society, people lead a busy, hurried and flying life. Too many things constitute all the time of them. Therefore, various diseases strike people’s health. Obesity is one of the biggest problems that people suffer. Especially, there are increasing numbers of children getting fatter and fatter. Children’s obesity results from the carelessness of their parents, eating too much, and the lack of exercise.
First, parents’ carelessness about proper diet contribute to children obesity. Most children enjoy going to the MacDonald, Pizza Hut and all of the fast-food restaurants, but their parents just totally comply with their children’s needs without telling them the right and proper eating habits.
Furthermore, the insufficient knowledge of parents of nutrition is also a consequence of children obesity. That can lead to the next result. The overweight of most of children s results from their improper eating habits. They like to eat high fat foods, including burgers, French fries and ice cream. Furthermore, extra desserts such as chocolate cakes, lollipops and potato chips are their favorite. Moreover, the increase of all-you-can-eat restaurants is a consequence of overweight children. When they go to the restaurants, they can’t help eating until they feel that is worth it. Therefore, bad eating habits are the most important reason of the increase of overweight children.
The lack of exercise is also one of the reasons that cause the obesity of children. They spend most of their time on other things, such as going to cram schools, doing everyday homework, surfing on the Internet, etc. Parents are so busy at their works that they don’t pay much attention to their kids. Because of these reasons, the time that they spend on doing exercise is little. Children are getting fatter and fatter, and they even get problems on their health.
As a result, we can gain a clear picture that the overweight of children results from overeating, the lack of exercise and the neglect of their parents.

Laura and I are looking forward to having a private dinner with he and Mrs. Blair Friday night.”

有一次在被問到他對於政壇上活躍的家族成員有何忠告時,他說: “My guidance to them is to behave yourself. And they will.”

布希在田納西州說: “You teach a child to read and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test .”

Gibson: With the full force of American military?
President Bush: Whatever it took to help Taiwan defend theirself.

Young English Learners
Now a day, more and more parents require kindergarten to open English learning course. They hope their children can learn English as young as possible because they believe this will make their children having distinguished results of learning English. At present, there’re 65% of kindergarten principles supporting this idea. Furthermore, there’re over 60% of kindergartens teaching English now. In following, we will analyze the trend of English studying situation in Taiwan.

Why should children learn English? According to the information from National Children Education Information Website, Executive Yuan decided to create English living environment as one of the important policy in the following six years. Thus, the learning age of English is getting younger and younger. This results some children who never study alphabets of feeling frustrated and difficult to catch up with their classmates. This causes parents’ extremely anxiety that their children may leave behind from the others if their children don’t learn English while they are still kids.

When is the best time for children to learn English? The linguist, Eric Leeneberg submitted “the ability to learn a native language develops with a fixed period, from birth to puberty”. The research also discovered that “young children who are exposed to more than one language before the age of puberty seem to acquire all the language equally well. It should be reasonable to make children learn their second language before this critical age”. And thus, it gives most of the people a concept that it is more effective to learn a new language for a child then an adult.

Due to above reasons, plenty of material and courses are especially designed for children springing up rapidly. It’s generally saw that many English cram schools are set near elementary schools or kindergartens. In some elementary school, English has been included as a main subject. Some parents are rich enough to hire a tutor, some English teaching programs can bee seen on cable TV, some publishers launch audio or computer software, all these elements are also contributed to construct well studying atmosphere of English learning.

For parents, they hope their children can build a certain degree of English ability in order to be compatible with others from allover the world. As for the government, it is also an important step to build the image of internationalized Taiwan. No matter to the parents or the government, all their thoughts are focusing to one same purpose – expecting our children have better future. And the first step is having well prepared tool, by improving and cultivating children’s English skills as young as they could be.

We agree with tuition liberalization. (Topic sentence)

An Issue about Tuition
An issue, whether the tuition should go upward or not, was frequently discussed by many people several months ago. This is a great concern to many people who are college students、students’ parents、educators、politicians, etc. The main reason they worry about is that higher tuition makes some people, especially for low-income family’s children, unable to go to college, even they have the qualification. Another reason is that higher tuition may obstruct the liquidity of the social stratum. How can we deal with this problem in the right way? We can understand this event in three aspects:Who benefits from the education? What is the social structure now? What if letting the tuition go free?
Who benefit from the education should pay by themselves in order to satisfy the social justice. Due to the amount of colleges increase rapidly in recent years, the funds for education became not enough and many colleges seem unable to make ends meet. So these colleges must increase tuition from students for keeping running the school. It is unfair if they take the money from the government’s tax revenue imposing on all the people. In addition, the tax rate in Taiwan is only 17 percentage which is lower than other countries like Europe having the tax rate of almost 40 percentage. The college education is not compulsory education in Taiwan. Therefore, people who have the use of education should pay it. But how can the poor do? The government will help them by many ways like scholarships or loans for education. Compare with the funds for all colleges, this part of money is much less.
The graduates mismatch the structure of the society. They can’t put into practice what has been learned. This phenomenon results in a waste of educational resources. In Taiwan, more and more masters and doctors became taxi drivers or cleaners after they graduated. Obviously, the waste will become more critical if the tuition don’t rise. People who really want to enter college can accept the higher tuition. Hence, higher tuition can ease the problem of the social stratum.
The tuition liberalization can cause all the colleges compete with each other. Besides, the tuition won’t be too high if the government stop regulating it. The outcome of liberalization is that some outstanding universities like Harvard in U.S. will come into being. Consequently, we don’t have to worry about the extent of the rising tuition. The competition between colleges will lead to a reasonable tuition or they’ll enroll inadequate students.
According to these reasons: fulfilling social justice、 matching social structure and letting the market mechanism to operate free, we agree with that tuition should go free by itself. We believe that tuition liberalization can improve the quality of education. Finally, the welfare of the whole society will promote indirectly.

The Successful strategies of the “got milk?”

Milk is a common beverage to people. Teenagers or adults would prefer to choose Coke or other soft drinks instead of it when they are thirsty. But there is an organization in the U.S. gets it a brand new look. “got milk?” is one of the famous slogans from it. Now milk is no longer a boring, old liquid, but as fancy as modern drink. The success of the institution credited to a serials creative advertisements, promotion activities, and feedbacks to the society.

Speaking of a series victorious commercials, the image of a milk mustache on top of every celebrity’s mouth would be the most impressive one. The celebrity is also an important element of the successful advertisements. For example, Britney Spears, Jackie Chen, Austin Powers, even the carton character Garfield is one of the models. Furthermore, the copy written is eye catching. Jennifer Mantz, the copywriter said that there is a regulation on the ad to make the customers get used to it. Because of such an engaging selling tactic, they grab good attention from public.

As the promotion activities, milk model contest is the most popular one. Each person could have the chance to be the star as their idols do. whymilk.com is allowing everyone to show off their own milk mustaches in the got milk? printings. This attracts many teenagers to give it a try and of course they will be the loyal customers since then. Recently, they start to put the milk-vending machine in schools. According to their new release, they can almost not keep the stock because the milk is selling well.

Except above points, the board also understands the importance of giving feedback to society. They offer the college scholarship to high school students in the annual Scholar Athlete Milk Mustache of the Year (SAMMY) awards. They are not only getting the advantage from the customers, but also contribute back to them. Besides, you can find milk recipes on their website and that has broadened the usage and added the value of their products. The updated information has been put on continuously.

According to what we have mentioned, the triumph of the “got milk?” comes from the successful advertisements, creative promotional activities. And they also get the good reputation when they give response back to their clients. All that makes people believe that there will be more interesting and charming strategies developed by them in the future. Milk business will rise day by day in their effort.

Conclusion-paragraph 4

An amazing technology: Radio Frequency Identification

Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is not new technology. It first appeared during the 1980s. RFID is an electronic tag that emits product information through radio frequency and can delivery detailed information to computers. This technology takes into account non-contact reading, that is, this wireless system can be effective in different surrounding where bar code labels could not survive. Therefore, RFID can be used in a wide range of applications. Simply RFID can be used in two groups: corporations and consumers.

Although an electronic tag created over 20 years, corporations pay attention to adopt RFID until now for the reason of cost decrease. Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world, asks its top suppliers to attaché RFID tags on pallets and product cases by 2005. The most reason to use RFID is that they can immediately locate one pallet or box among thousand of others in a warehouse. According to Jhon Simley, a spokesman for Home Depot, Inc., “there’s no longer an army of people running around wondering where a pallet went.” Obviously, corporation, particularly those in retail, uses RFID in order to save time and reduce accounting errors.

Not only gains corporation advantages, but consumers as well. If every product with RFID tag via the checkout line, consumers would be not wait for a checkout clerk to swipe each product across a barcode reader by hand. Actually I-pass (Easy pass) is one of use RFID product. The Illinois Tollway Authority in US uses electronic tags for its I-Pass electronic payment system. Car’s windshield of users mounted a small device. When the driver goes through the I-Pass lane, money would transfer from the user’s prepaid account electronically to the toll booth. Therefore consumers save time and reduce accounting errors as same as retailers use RFID in warehouse.

One day, when you hurry on a supermarket on the way home from work, you may have no idea what you need to buy immediately. You can open your PDA or new cell phone and “ask” your refrigerator exactly what it contains. It supposed that every product in the refrigerator has an RFID tag on it. Naturally you can put RFID tags on your kitchen cabinets or similar places. Above will come true in the future, only the technology become more sophisticated to draw up specifications. If some standards is achieved, the market will very likely grow and consumer benefit greatly.
